As Americans across the pond celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday night, in London Alexa Chung was busy hosting a very special 'Chungsgiving' dinner for a collection of her British friends.

The dinner was inspired by Chung's years stateside (the presenter-turned-designer spent years as a New York resident) and was hosted in a private penthouse of London's Edition hotel.

Guests at the party included Chung's friends Jack Guinness, Poppy Jamie, Camille Charriere, Serafina Samra and Suki Waterhouse - currently promoting her new film Assassination Nation.

The attendees, many of them dressed in pieces from the ALEXACHUNG exclusive capsule with NET-A-PORTER, feasted on a menu of roasted Norfolk bronze turkey and pumpkin pie created specially by Berners Tavern, washed down with American Whiskey Punch Woodford Rye cocktails.

Kitten Grayson Flowers created special floral displays for the dinner, while each guest had an illustrated place card by Fee Greening. Designer Matilda Goad took charge of the tableware.

After dinner, Chung and guests gathered around the piano for a sing-along, with a focus on all-American classics: Frank Sinatra and Don McClean, as well as a few tracks from David Bowie's Young Americans album.

"It's not exclusive to fashion, I've felt [imposter syndrome] with everything I've done. Writing for Vogue, that's a huge imposter syndrome. Television, every day before we went live, I'd be like, "am I equipped to do this? I don't know".'
