British Vogue has brought things closer to home (literally) for the August issue, showing celebrities in their houses as part of its Famous Families Under Lockdown feature.

Celebrities including Dua Lipa, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Ricky Martin and Gemma Chan shared snapshots of life at home under lockdown, featuring piano lessons and home cooking.

Actress Gemma Chan has been in lockdown with her boyfriend of two years and fellow actor, Dominic Cooper. The pair have also been volunteering and in April were photographed bringing meals to NHS workers.

“It’s been frustrating to see the lack of protection for staff and the lack of accountability from government,” Chan said.

She continued: “On the positive side, it’s amazing to see people across the world coming together at a local level. In other news, I’ve started trying to grow vegetables; there just might be enough for a salad by September.”

Dua Lipa has been in lockdown with her model boyfriend Anwar Hadid and the two have been working on their cooking skills.

The ‘New Rules’ singer explained that they’re trying new recipes almost daily.

“Today I’m making a leek stew my mum would cook, which really takes me back to my childhood,” she said.

Ricky Martin and his husband Jwan Yosef, his mother Nereida, and his four children, Matteo, Valentino, Lucia and Renn have been together for the stay-at-home period.

Martin has been recording music remotely. “I’m also working on my new album - my engineer is in New York and my producer is in Miami, but through technology, it should be out this year as planned,” he said.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas opened up about how hard it’s been being away from her family in India during quarantine but talked about the increased closeness to her Los Angeles family.

“I’m so grateful to have spent time with my husband, family and dogs, but mostly with my four-year-old niece, Krishna. It’s been incredible watching her discover new things,” the actress said.
