One of the world's most adored voices, Adele has amassed a worldwide following since breaking into the industry 10 years ago.

But while it is her voice that sells the albums, it is her personality and almost stand-up like approach to her concerts that saw her current tour sell out in minutes.

Undergoing somewhat of a style transformation since launching her career, Adele has seen her sartorial choices evolve from short black dresses and tights to show-stopping floor length gowns, intelligent tailoring and bold colours.

Since becoming friends with Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour in 1009, the 29-year-old has been frequently dressed by fashion power houses Burberry, Chloe and Valentino.

From winning Grammys to Brit Awards, a Golden Globe and even an Oscar, Adele's global success has seen her not only attend a number of the world's biggest red carpets but also come out on top of the majority of best dressed lists.

But while her talent and popularity seems to know no bounds, Adele has indicated that the remaining shows at Wembley Stadium this weekend may well be her last.

In the tour programme, the mother-of-one published a handwritten note from herself which suggested she will be bowing out from live shows for the foreseeable future.

"So this is it after 15 months on the road and 18 months of 25 we are at the end. We have taken this tour across UK + Ireland, throughout Europe, all over America and I finally got to go to Australia and New Zealand too."

"Touring is a peculiar thing, it doesn't suit me particularly well. I'm a real homebody and I get so much joy in the small things. Plus I'm dramatic and have a terrible history of touring. Until now that is!"

"I've done 119 shows and these last 4 will take me up to 123, it has been hard out an absolute thrill and pleasure to have done."

"I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favourite artist have had on me live."

"And I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don't know if I'll ever tour again and so I want my last time to be at home."

"Thank you for coming, for all of your ridiculous love and kindness. I will remember all of this for the rest of my life. Love you. Goodnight for now."

While we wait for more formal confirmation - and hope for none - take a look back at the singing sensation's sartorial transformation.
