Bella Hadid has today been revealed as the cover star of Vogue Arabia's debut September issue.

Having launched in March this year - with Bella's older sister Gigi on the cover - the magazine became the 22nd edition of Vogue worldwide and is published bilingually in both Arabic and English.

Featuring interviews with Bella Hadid and Karl Lagerfeld - creative director of Chanel, Fendi and his own eponymous label as well as photographer behind the shoot - the September issue is widely considered to be the magazine's most important and prestigious of the year.

Not her first September cover, Hadid previously fronted the month for Vogue Japan, Paris and Italia in 2016.

But while the last two years have seen the 20-year-old's career escalate rapidly thanks, in part, to her 14+ million Instagram followers, Bella is keen to maintain a sense of privacy.

"I feel that if you give too much on social media, there will always be a want for more."

"Right now, privacy is my biggest concern, not only for myself, but my family. Keeping boundaries is always a good idea."

But one aspect of her life that she's proud to document is her love of food.

Perhaps surprisingly for a modern-day supermodel with a figure idolised by many, Hadid revealed that her hectic schedule sees her indulge her appetite.

"I always order some kind of fried chicken. It never lets me down."

While privacy and fried chicken rank high on Hadid's list of priorities, Karl Lagerfeld admitted that his greatest luxury is a little more abstract.

"I hate being a slave of my diary."

"I am well known for never being punctual. I am late because I do [so] much and I never look at the clock to say, 'I have to go now'."

"Schopenhauer once said, 'Whenever you buy a book, you should also buy the time to read it'."

"Time is the pinnacle of luxury. Not looking at the clock is my greatest luxury."
