MONDAY

Spin a yarn

DIY knitting collective Wool and the Gang has joined forces with Whistles to create a monogram-your-own-beanie kit. But fear not, knitting novices — the hat comes pre-made, ready to be personalised with the initial of your choice, while rusty yarn-spinners can visit one of the in-store classes on December 6 and 7 to brush up. Or just get one of the WATG members to do it for you. (£55, whistles.com)

TUESDAY

Bargain hunt

If this winter's treads have left you with a hankering to go shoe shopping, put Nicholas Kirkwood’s sample sale in your diary. It’s today from 10am-8pm and tomorrow 8am-8pm. Bring money. And sharp elbows. (The Music Room, 26 South Molton Lane, W1)
