Sainsbury's launches range of sex toys—and they start at £8

Sainsbury's has today announced it's launching a range of vibrators.

The retailer is dipping its toes into the sex toy market "to help customers reinvigorate their sex lives and boost the nations' sense of wellbeing."

There are three products in the range: the Rose Gold Bullet, £8.00; Rose Blush Bullet, £12.00; and the Aura Silver Vibrator and Massager, £15.00.

The retailer says the launch was inspired by findings from its Living Well Index that showed sex life satisfaction has a big impact on an person's sense of wellbeing and that, alongside sleep, is one of the strongest indicators of how well a person is living.

With one in three Brits reporting they are not satisfied with their sex lives, the supermarket presumably wanted to help out.

Paul Mills-Hicks, food commercial director at Sainsbury’s, said: "By introducing a new range at affordable prices, we hope to give customers the option to buy quickly and conveniently in an environment they feel comfortable with."

The products are currently being rolled out at 486 stores nationwide from now until November 4. A cheeky stocking filler perhaps?

The supermarket says it will monitor customer feedback, with a view to adding more products next year.
