The launch date for the capital’s Night Tube may well have been delayed, but in the meanwhile Londoners can explore how late night travel has changed our city over the last century at a new retrospective exhibition.

Night Shift: London After Dark shines a light on the nocturnal side of the capital and its late-night transport during the Second World War.

As well as photographs and film footage, striking retro posters are used to highlight the rise of the West End and the way things were for London’s night workers.

Reginald Percy Gossop’s ‘The Way to Theatreland’ shows how striking posters were used to entice pleasure seekers to travel to the capital’s many theatres.

Posters from the show are now available to buy from London Transport Museum Poster Collection website.

Each is available in different sizes and finishes and are perfect for brightening up your space in style.

Night Shift: London After Dark is currently open at The London Transport Museum until April 10 2016; ltmuseum.co.uk
