The Crush: Justin Timberlake

We were so beyond excited to see Mr Justin ‘Oooh!’ Timberlake back behind the mic at the Brits last week — his post-awards show at The Forum made the 1D boys look like a bunch of dancing Fraggles.

JT’s slinky performances make us ashamed to recall that when he first quit ’N Sync to go solo we thought, ‘No one’s going to take that blond fro seriously on its own.’ But we should have known that our bedroom poster-boy would never let us down and Justin has well and truly proved that he has what it takes to cross over into grown-up celebdom, releasing credible trousersnake-shaking pop, rapping pretty well for an ex-Mickey Mouse Club kid and confirming for girls everywhere just how badly their boyfriends dance (guys, heads up: that dusting the shoulders thing... still not cool).

He can sing, he can act, he can make us laugh (remember Saturday Night Live’s ‘Dick in a Box’?) and he’s newly married to Jessica ‘How dare you be so beautiful’ Biel. But it was when we spied him at the Tom Ford LFW show earlier last week that we truly swooned. These days JT is less ‘rock your body’, more ‘rock a really nice check-clash suit and knitted tie’. In fact, his new song ‘Shirt & Tie’ (featuring Jay-Z, directed by The Social Network’s David Fincher, dressed by Tom Ford) is all about, um… wearing really nice clothes while doing slidey-slidey dancing. That video alone has made us realise quite how much we wish JT would bring sexy back... to our bedrooms... RIGHT NOW.
