A suite Caribbean dream

It's all change at old player Cobblers Cove in Barbados

A Long-time fixture on the Barbados hotel scene, the all-suite Cobblers Cove comprises 40 suites dotted around a pink plantation house set among lush and leafy gardens, but this year it’s all change.

Five of the hotel’s Ocean Front Suites have already been refurbished — think lighter and brighter — with five more to follow by the end of October and the rest to follow suit. It’s all being overseen by new general manager Alistair Forrest, with his impressive CV including Antiguan classic Carlisle Bay.

Also new for July and August is a children’s programme with two hours of supervised activities each day (excluding weekends) including swimming with turtles, waterskiing, snorkelling, kayaking, sailing and tennis lessons. Not to be left out, watersports are free for adults on the hotel’s secluded coral sand beach.

Seasons (seasons.co.uk) has seven nights from £2,120pp B&B including flights and transfers. Doubles from £327 B&B, cobblerscove.com
