If you were excited about the fact that a four-floor gin hotel is set to open in London, you’ll want to grab your passport sharpish, because an entire theme park dedicated to wine has opened in France.
La Cite du Vin, which translates as ‘the city of wine’, is a wine-lover’s paradise with thousands of bottles from around the world all under one roof.
There aren’t any roller coasters and log flumes at this theme park - red wine and Nemesis don’t exactly go hand-in-hand - but you can expect wine tasting sessions, exhibits that cover the history of wine and talks from industry experts.
There is also a boat attraction that simulates what it would be like to be a sea merchant sailing across across the globe.
The theme park is located in Bordeaux, one of France's most famous winemaking regions, and was officially opened by President Francois Hollande yesterday.

The huge 10-floor development also boasts a panoramic restaurant in which to enjoy a large glass, while you enjoy the views across Bordeaux.
Everything about the experience has been created in tribute to wine - the striking building was even designed to impersonate the flow of wine from a bottle. The structure is based on a metal decanter and images of glasses and knotted vines have been subtly motifed throughout.
Sound like an ideal day out to you? Tickets to the theme park will cost £15.27 per adult, which includes the cost of a wine tour.
But if you’re really dedicated to all things vino, wine-lovers can purchase an annual season ticket for £36.64.
