Just when you thought that florals have had their day, game-changing fashion designers such as Richard Quinn leap onto the scene with prints so fantastical that even the Queen sits up and takes note.

She recently attended his debut show at London Fashion Week and particularly liked ‘how nice the flowers and foils were’, says Quinn.

Over in the interiors sphere, American découpage artist John Derian launched his first collection of fabrics, wallpapers and cushions — découpage is the decoration of objects using paper cut-outs and paint, and the effect when used over a large area is hugely impactful.
