Police are appealing for information after a bus passenger allegedly exposed herself to another woman and tried to touch her.

The alleged victim was travelling on the number 30 bus through Dalston Junction on September 24 when the incident happened.

A man dressed in a suit is thought to have intervened before he and the victim – who is described as of East Asian appearance – left the bus.

The bus driver then called the police and the suspect, 43, was arrested for indecent exposure and bailed to return to a London police station this month.

Detectives in Hackney are urging the victim to come forward to help with their investigation.

PC Matt Jolley said: “We would like to stress that this woman is a potential victim who may be able to assist officers with an ongoing investigation.

“She is not wanted by police in connection with a crime.”

Anyone with information should call 101.
