Barking stabbing: Three arrested after teenager, 17, left fighting for life after east London knife attack

Three people have been arrested after a stabbing in east London left a 17-year-old boy fighting for his life in hospital.

Police and paramedics scrambled to reports of the stabbing at around 7.24pm on Monday in the North Street area of Barking.

There they found the teenage boy suffering with a stab wound and he was taken to hospital.

Metropolitan Police are investigating and said the teenager's injuries are life-threatening and he remains in a critical condition on Tuesday.

A police cordon remains in place at the scene near Barking Abbey Grounds.

The cordon surrounding a large area of the park between St Joseph’s Primary School and St Margaret’s Church is being manned by uniformed officers.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody, the force said.

Inquiries continue to establish the full circumstances surrounding the stabbing, Scotland Yard added.
