A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder over the stabbing death of a teenager in east London.

Santino Angelo Dymiter, 18, from Plaistow, was found critically injured in Chadd Green, Newham on August 26. He died at the scene around 4.30pm

A post-mortem examination found his cause of death was a stab wound.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of murder. He was charged with the murder of Mr Dymiter on Sunday.

He was also charged with possession of a knife.

He is remanded in custody to appear at Stratford Magistrates Youth Court on Monday.

Detectives previously also charged a 14-year-old boy from Barking with murder. He is set to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.

A 24-year-old man was previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
