A huge haul of cannabis - worth around £2million - has been seized from a house in Bromley.

Detectives found almost three quarters of a ton of cannabis stacked up against an internal wall after carrying out a dawn raid at the house in Glenview Road this morning.

Officers from the Organised Crime Partnership executed a search warrant during the planned operation, and a man in his 50s was arrested at the address on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and remains in custody at a south London police station.

Detective Inspector Steven Miles, from the Organised Crime Partnership, said: "The raid this morning was a response to tackle the blight of drug dealing on the streets of south London.

"It sends out a strong signal to those involved that we will not tolerate their activities."
