Shocking footage shows the moment an Arsenal fan launches a vicious attack on a 60-year-old punter in a north London betting shop after he was asked to stop swearing.

When challenged about his bad language, the man is seen punching his victim to the ground before unleashing a volley of assaults while he is on the floor.

After several punches, he also aims a kick before leaving as other betting customers walk past without intervening. The victim was treated at the scene for minor cuts to his face.

Police have released the CCTV footage to identify a suspect they would like to speak to. The assault took place inside a bookmakers on Upper Street, Islington, between 9:40pm and 9:45pm on Saturday, September 12

The man is described to be in his mid-20s with a shaved head wearing dark clothing wearing an Arsenal football shirt underneath.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or recognises the man on CCTV.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 193178 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
