This is the chilling moment the killer of a Hackney teacher remained emotionless as cops quizzed him over the brutal murder.
Carl Langdell sits in silence wearing a prison-issue grey tracksuit as detectives ask him if he killed 23-year-old Katie Locke.
The pair had met on dating website Plenty of Fish where Langdell posed as a top lawyer.
Sick Langdell, of Waltham Cross, then had sex with the history teacher's body before dragging it outside and dumping it in some bushes.
The footage was released by police today after Langdell, 26, was last week jailed for life.
In the footage, a female police officer relays a phone conversation Langdell had with his mother, in which he confessed to killing Miss Locke.
She said: “Your mum says that you told her ‘I’ve killed her mum’.’
“Is that true? Can you imagine her reaction?”
“And she questions that and you say ‘no mum honestly I’ve killed her. I’m a monster’. Is that what you believe? That you’re a monster?"
As Langdell refuses to speak, she continues in her questioning, saying: “Why do you think that? What’s gone on in your head? What makes you think you’re a monster?”
“Was it not an accident? You then say to her ‘don’t cry over me, I’m a monster, I’m a psychopath.”
“Is that how you describe yourself?”
The 26-year-old was jailed for a minimum of 26 years after he admitted the murder of Miss Locke, who taught history and politics at Cardinal Pole School in Hackney.
