Ultimate Championship Fighting star Conor McGregor has admitted his part in a frenzied attack on a bus full of rival fighters in New York.

The MMA fighter was filmed lashing out at a tour bus belonging to rival fighters at Brooklyn’s Barclay Centre in April.

He admitted three counts of assault and one of criminal mischief relating to the brawl on Thursday.

The fighter will avoid prison after pleading guilty as part of a deal with prosecutors.

The 30-year-old Irishman appeared in footage hurling barriers and a trolley at mini-bus following a press conference to publicise a lightweight UFC fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Max Holloway.

Speaking at the time, McGregor was said to be enraged over the decision by UFC bosses to strip him of his lightweight title and hand it to the winner of the clash.

In shocking video of the melee, McGregor appears to toss a metal dolly that smashed through a bus window.

Cian Cowley, another Irish fighter charged over the incident also pleaded guilty on Thursday.

The UFC, the sport's premier organizing body, said one fighter was hit by a dolly thrown through a window, while another suffered a cut to his eye after the glass shattered.
