A fraudster dubbed the “Fox of Folkestone” after conning £75,000 from investors is back living the high life in London after his early release from prison.

Daniel Burgoyne was given a two-year prison sentence last January after fooling 18 people into thinking they were investing in goods like vintage winesarbon credits, when in fact he was pocketing the money from while living at his mother’s house.

After just eight months inside Standford Hill open prison, the 25-year-old is out and back bragging about his luxurious lifestyle on social media.

The former trainee butcher, whose Facebook page includes a picture of huge wads of cash, has published snaps of fancy meals at top London venues like the Savoy.

Alongside photos of steak, scallops and lobster, which he claims were eaten on a date night at the Savoy, he boasts: “Had such a sick night.”

Boasts: He claimed to be eating at the Savoy

Another series of photos appear to have been taken at the five-star Gainsborough Hotel in Bath.

Other images show expensive bottles of alcohol, designer clothes, shoes and tickets to see singer Jason Derulo at The O2.

A relative of one victim told the Folkstone Herald: “It makes me pig sick to think he's living the high life, he has got no morals whatsoever.

“If I was sent to prison and came out I would have nothing. He had spent the £75,000 on living the high life and couldn't pay anyone back but he seems to have money again now.”

But Mr Burgoyne told the paper he has now gone straight and all the money was spent before he went to jail.

He said: "I am guilty. I didn't try and hide it and I have done my time.

"What do they want me to do? I'm allowed to have a nice meal."
