Goodmayes: Young man left fighting for life after stabbing in east London

A young man is fighting for life in hospital after a knife attack in east London.

The victim, 28, was found suffering stab injuries after police were called to Green Lane, Goodmayes, just before 1.30pm on Wednesday.

He was taken to an east London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Police have arrested a man, 40, on suspicion of attempted murder. He was taken to hospital for injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

A crime scene remains in place. Officers from the East Area Command Unit are investigating.

It comes after a 19-year-old man was left fighting for life following a stabbing in Clapton, north east London, on Tuesday night .
