A 17-year-old teenage boy is fighting for life in hospital after being shot in the street in west London last night.

​Police were called by London Ambulance Service to London Road, Isleworth at 7.17pm on Saturday, February 9 to reports of an injured male.

Officers attended and found the youth was receiving treatment from medics for gunshot wounds.

The teen was taken to a west London hospital where he remained in a critical condition on Sunday.

The Met has appealed for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward ​.

A statement from the force said: "At this early stage officers retain an open mind concerning motive."

There have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing.
