A woman who was found dead at a north London home has been named as 51-year-old Angela Best.
Paramedics found the woman at 7.35pm and she was pronounced dead at just before 8pm.
Police soon launched a murder investigation into her death.
No one has yet been arrested – but police are treating a man in his 60s, who was taken to an east London hospital on the same night, as a suspect.
His injuries are not thought to be suspicious and he remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A post-mortem examination into the woman’s death did not provide a clear cause and officers are awaiting more tests.
