Police release CCTV image after West End street attack leaves man fighting for his life

Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a 51-year-old was attacked in central London.

The victim was found unconscious on Cambridge Circus in the West End at around 10.35pm on Tuesday.

He was rushed to hospital and police said his condition is described as life-threatening.

Scotland Yard said the man they wish to speak to in relation to the assault is white, aged between 25 and 35-years-old and is around 5ft 9ins tall.

The force said he is of heavy build with short dark hair.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
