An 18-year-old man is fighting for life after a street brawl in an upmarket area of west London.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene after the incident in Elgin Mews in Ladbroke Grove at about 9.30pm on Sunday.

An 18-year-old man was taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a critical condition, Scotland Yard said.

No one has been arrested and police are working to establish a motive for the stabbing.

A Met Police spokesman said: “His next of kin have been informed.

“At this early stage, officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw or heard anything that could assist the investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kensington and Chelsea CID via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
