A 24-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in a west London street.
The victim was attacked at about 9pm last night on Portobello Road following a fight between two groups of men outside a Tesco store.
Witnesses described seeing an argument break out which resulted in one man being stabbed further along the street, either with a bottle or a knife.
Police at the scene told onlookers he had suffered a stab wound to the arm.
Paramedics were seen treating him for his injuries on the pavement outside the Portobello Photography Gallery before he was taken to hospital in west London.
His condition was described by police this morning as 'serious but stable'.
A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident in Ladbroke Grove and remains in custody, Scotland Yard said today.
Detectives from Kensington and Chelsea are still hunting two suspects as part of their investigation.
Part of the road was cordoned off this morning while police continued to search the area for clues, according to reports.
