A man is due in court today charged with the murder of two men found with fatal wounds in a car in Leytonstone.

Devonte Campbell, 19, is accused of the murders of Aaron Carriere, 21, and Josiah Manful, 20, who died after apparently being stabbed repeatedly while in their Ford Fiesta in Montague Road on March 1.

A gang of hooded attackers allegedly surrounded the car, with the two men left with fatal knife wounds to their chests and necks respectively.

A total of 12 people have been arrested in connection with the deaths. The others have been released on bail with Campbell the only perosn charged so far.

Campbell will appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on Monday, March 10.
