A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed by attackers in Halloween masks as a party brawl spilled out into a busy street.

Revellers attacked each other with belts and knives when a fight broke out just after 3am on Sunday in Seven Sisters Road, north London.

One man carrying a killer clown mask was kicked to the floor as he withdrew money from a cash machine across from the “loud” party in a flat above a hardware shop.

Witnesses said he was attacked by a mob who came out after a row had broken out inside.

Another man was slashed in the face and was seen laying on the hood of a car bleeding heavily.

A passer-by who went to help him was punched in the face by the victim’s friend amid the confusion of the street brawl.

Police said two men aged in their 20s were stabbed in the fight and one remained in critical condition today in hospital.

One witness said: “I heard some shouting there was this huge fight where people were chasing others into the road.

“It looked like something out of a slasher film, all these people in masks attacking each other.

“You couldn’t tell whose blood was real and whose was fake, even the paramedics looked a bit confused.

“I saw a victim realise he had been stabbed. He lifted up his jumper and there was a bloodstain on his stomach expanding quickly.

“He was trying to light a cigarette but started to wobble and had to be held up by two girls.

“There was one guy on the floor being kicked and being whipped with belts- it was horrific.”

Another witness added: ““I saw one guy lying on a car covered in blood from his head, girls were screaming and trying to drag other men away from him.”

Keli Ziu, 29, manager of nearby Top Pizza said: “There was so many people hanging out in masks and drinking. The party was so loud it clearly got out of control.

“Maybe it could have been stopped before someone was hurt.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Police were called to reports of a fight in Seven Sisters Road.

“Officers attended the location, and found males suffering stab injuries. Two men, both aged in their 20s, were taken to hospital by ambulance.

“One of the men remains in a critical condition. The second man was not seriously injured. Detectives from Central North CID are investigating.”

Witnesses should call police via 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
