A pensioner has been arrested after a racist attack on a mother who asked a woman to make room for her pram on a London bus.

The 67-year-old woman was held by police after the 41-year-old victim was racially abused and assaulted on July 25.

The pair were travelling on a number 370 bus from Upminster to Romford when a row broke out over the position of the victim's pram.

The suspect has been bailed until a date in November, police said today.
