Police hunt thief after £9,000 handbag is snatched from car in Coulsdon

Police are hunting a man after bank cards and £9,000 worth of jewellery were stolen from a handbag in a car boot in south London.

Detectives in Croydon issued CCTV footage of a man in a store on South Norwood Hill after the cards were used to buy items on Sunday, February 14.

Police said the bag was taken from the boot of the owners' car in Tudor Close, Coulsdon some time between 12pm on Friday, February 12 and 10am on Sunday.

The man in the footage is described as black and wearing a dark baseball cap worn back to front with a dark jacket and grey hooded top.
