Gang police are investigating reports of a shooting during a brawl in west London on Boxing Day.

Officers were called to Kensal Road in Ladbroke Grove at about 11.15pm to reports of several people fighting and a weapon being fired.

It was the second shooting in west London on Boxing Day after a man was shot in the leg about three miles away in North Acton in the early hours.

Everyone involved had left Kensal Road by the time police arrived, Scotland Yard said.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “Enquiries are under way into the circumstances of the incident.

“Officers from the Trident Area Gang Crime Command investigate.”

Police have made two arrests.

A 25-year-old man was arrested for a firearms offence and a 29-year-old man was arrested for affray.

There have been no arrests in connection with the earlier incident in Standard Road, North Acton.

Police said there was no evidence to link the two cases.
