A teenager was arrested on drug dealing charges after police discovered Class A drugs inside a Kinder Surprise egg.

The 15-year-old boy was later bailed by officers in Newham after they found the yellow egg container, with 50 wraps of drugs inside, dumped by some wheelie bins in Thorngrove Road, east London.

The hollow chocolate treats, popular with small children, normally contain a toy or game.

The arrest came after police approached five men outside a block of flats at 4.40pm on Sunday, January 26.

The group dispersed but one teen was seen walking in the opposite direction to the rest and throwing the egg between some bins.
