Seven people have been arrested after police seized a terrifying stash of weapons from a house in north London.

The Metropolitan Police’s task force shared a shocking image of weapons including huge knives, knuckledusters and an axe on Twitter following a raid near Dalston.

Officers stopped a car close to Mayville Estate around 10pm last night but the driver and passenger fled.

Police described how one man threw money, drugs and laughing gas canisters from his pockets before running into a house.

The second man was stopped and arrested outside.

Officers burst into the property and arrested the runaway along with a further five people.

Drugs, legal highs and weapons were seized by police.

All seven have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

One man was also arrested over breaching a court order, affray and assaulting a police officer.
