A 22-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in the arm.

Police were called to Nightingale Road, Hackney, at 5pm on Saturday following reports of a man being chased.

They discovered the man with a stab wound to the arm and he was taken to an east London hospital for treatment.

His injury is believed to be not life threatening.

It is thought the man was attacked and chased by a number of people after he left his car in Nightingale Road.

The car, a silver 1 Series BMW, was stolen by one or more of the suspects, which has not been found

The remaining suspects made off in a dark coloured car towards Brooke Road, Hackney.

Police from Hackney CID are appealing for information and witnesses.

No arrests have been made, enquiries continue.
