A man is fighting for his life after a stabbing on a north London high street on Thursday night.

Police have arrested a man and a woman after the victim, in his 30s, was attacked in Lealand Road, Tottenham at 11pm.

Officers rushed to reports of a fight on Lealand Road at the junction of High Road, Tottenham.

A Met Police spokesman said: “Officers responded and found a man in his 30s with a stab injury.

“He was taken to hospital where his condition at this time remains life-threatening.

“Officers arrested a male on suspicion of attempted murder.

“A female was arrested on suspicion of affray.

“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
