A warrant has been issued for West Ham striker Robert Snodgrass after he failed to turn up for a court trial.
The Scottish international footballer is charged with driving a car while a baby was being held by a back-seat passenger.
The 29-year-old is alleged to have driven the car with too many passengers to fit a baby seat in, in Duke Street, Glasgow, on April 17 last year.
The played was not at the city’s Justice of the Peace court when the case was called, the BBC reported.
Defence lawyer Martin Black told the court "he didn't think he had to be" when asked why his client was not present.
The Crown requested a warrant which was granted by JP Eunice Paton.
West Ham declined to comment but told the Standard they would be treating the issue as a "personal matter" and said Snodgrass would not miss any games.
