A teenager has been left with "potentially life-threatening injuries" after he was stabbed in west London.

The young boy was found at Westway in White City after the attack on Friday.

He was taken to a west London hospital where he remains in surgery, and police await an update on his condition.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 5.54pm near to the junction with Bentworth Road.

A Met Office spokesman said: "Police were called at 5.54pm on Friday, January 5 to a report of a stabbing at Westway near the junction with Bentworth Road, White City.

"Officers and London Ambulance Service have attended.

"The victim, a male believed to be in his teens, was at the scene suffering a stab injury. We await an update on his condition.

"No arrests at this time; enquiries continue."
