Two people have been charged after a man was injured following a shooting in Morden.

Daniel Gaudin, 22, and Shannon Rule, 21, will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with conspiracy to murder.

It comes after police were called at 2pm on Tuesday following reports of a shooting on Central Road, at the junction with Abbotsbury Road.

When they arrived they found a 24-year-old man suffering with gunshot injuries.

The victim remains in hospital but his condition is not life threatening, police said.

An investigation was carried out by Trident detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime.
