Wimbledon stabbing: Murder probe launched after man, 41, killed in south west London

A murder probe has been launched after a man was stabbed to death in south west London.

The victim, 41, was found suffering knife wounds at an address in The Broadway, Wimbledon, after police were called to reports of an assault just before 1am on Wednesday.

Despite medics’ efforts he was pronounced dead at the scene an hour later.

Two men – aged 33 and 53 – were arrested on suspicion of murder. They were taken to a south London police stations where they remain in custody.

Two men, aged in their twenties, who were also arrested and taken into custody have been released with no further action.

Homicide detectives from Scotland Yard’s Specialist Crime Command are investigating.
