Woman ‘sexually assaulted at celebrity nightclub Faces before being raped at nearby hotel'

Police are investigating claims that a woman was drugged and sexually assaulted at celebrity nightclub before being raped at a nearby hotel.

The 20-year-old was allegedly sexually assaulted at Faces in Gants Hill, whose clientele includes stars from The Only Way Is Essex and Love Island.

Details of the investigation emerged following reports on social media of a video apparently showing a woman being sexually assaulted after her drink was spiked.

There were also claims on social media that the woman was later raped by five men.

The victim is not thought to have spoken to police because she cannot remember what happened to her.

A Met spokesman said alleged assaults early on 30 November were being investigated. There have been no arrests.
