British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for information after the theft at Dalston Kingsland station at about 4.50pm on Monday, January 18.

The female victim was using a ticket machine when a man allegedly bumped into her several times.

Detective Constable Paul Cudby said the woman confronted the man about his behaviour and he then put his hand into her coat pocket and took her iPhone before leaving the station.

BTP have today released an image of a man they want to speak to about the theft.
