London should stay dry for Saturday’s huge People’s Vote march, according to forecasters.
Despite a band of cloud and rain causing a drizzly start to Saturday, it should have moved south by the start of the anti-Brexit march at 12.30pm.
Temperatures could be around 14-15C if the sun breaks through the cloud but otherwise will be a mild 12C.
A few spots of drizzle could hit by the time the march begins its journey through central London, but “won’t be persistent.”
Marchers are set to assemble on Park Lane around midday, before the route takes hundreds of thousands of people down Piccadilly and St. James’s Street, through Trafalgar Square and along Whitehall to Parliament Square where a rally is expected to begin at 2.30pm and end just before 4pm.
Met Office spokesman Steven Keats said: “There is a band of cloud and rain moving south, so it’ll be a drizzly start to Saturday.
“Into the afternoon, it should brighten up, with the possibility of it being 14-15C if the sun comes out, otherwise it’ll be 11 or 12C.
“There might be a few spots of drizzle later on but nothing that’ll stop people getting out and about and it won’t be persistent.

“It’ll get drier into the afternoon and evening.”
The number of marchers could soar towards one million given that estimates for the previous rally in October were as high as 700,000.
The march has support from pro-Remain MPs across the political spectrum.
Former Tory minister Anna Soubry, now part of The Independent Group, and Green Party leader Caroline Lucas are co-founders of the People's Vote campaign, while Liberal Democrat leader Sir Vince Cable has also backed it.
Labour's David Lammy and the leaders of the SNP and Plaid Cymru in Westminster, Ian Blackford and Liz Saville Roberts, have also thrown their weight behind the rally.
