Panellists on Have I Got News for You have paid a warm tribute to the late former Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy.
Mr Kennedy, who appeared as both a presenter or panellist on the BBC One show, was honoured in two clips last night.
Guest host Jack Dee said the politician, who died aged 55 this week after battling with an alcohol addiction, "always had the right attitude even when he hadn't won".
Reading out the final scores as the show ended, Dee said: “Of course the scores have always been hotly contested on this show.
“Here’s a friend of the show who always had the right attitude even when he hadn’t won.”
The programme then cut to an old clip of the politician joking he would have been “very happy” to have come second, referring to Liberal Democrats creating a shift in politics at the time.
In another clip, Mr Kennedy was shown verbally sparring with Jeremy Clarkson.
The former Top Gear presenter was seen asking the politician about government plans to imprison bankers.
Mr Kennedy replied: “It’s a bit stupid for David Cameron to suggest this, he hasn’t got anywhere to put them for a start and probably most of them are voting Tory, aren’t they Jeremy?”
Clarkson is then heard mocking the politician for his Scottish accent, to which Mr Kennedy says: “Don’t worry Jeremy most people watching this in Scotland can’t understand voting Tory either.”
Many fans praised the programme for its warm tribute to Mr Kennedy.
A post-mortem examination revealed on Friday that he died after suffering a “major haemorrhage” caused by his alcoholism.
