One of the world’s biggest digital artists is lighting up Oxford Street with a three-storey public exhibition.

Frederic Duquette, who works under the name FVCKRENDER, taught himself to use 3D art software in between shifts working at a restaurant in his native Canada and has since seen his work sell at major galleries and auction houses including Sothebys.

He has also teamed up with high profile musicians including Lil Nas X, who he worked with on visuals for one of his albums, and the Weeknd, who spent $70,000 buying his work.

The exhibition at W1 Curates digital gallery includes a retrospective of his career so far and new work that will be displayed 24 hours a day on the 60-metre-long LED screens across the exterior of the Flannels store in Oxford Street.

The futuristic 3D images will be accompanied by an ambient soundtrack in an attempt to create a “meditative atmosphere”.

Duquette said: “This show is a visual diary of my battle and victory over depression and anxiety  but I also want it to  be a beacon of hope, inspiring viewers to persist in their fight, catch their own light and find their path towards mental comfort.”

Catch the Light runs at W1 Curates from Thursday 3rd to Thursday 31st August. For more information, visit www.w1curates.com.
