A man stunned London commuters by getting on the Tube barefooted.
The man was pictured on the Piccadilly line, with a photo later posted online.
In it, the man is seen wearing jeans and a jacket - but does not have any shoes or socks on.
People quickly commented on the post, which was published on website Reddit by user ginkyboy on Wednesday night, with a flood jokes.
Many suggested the man might have been from Australia or New Zealand, where it is reportedly more common to go barefooted in public.
User MrLips said: “Probably a Kiwi.
“We’ve grown up with bare feet often, it’s kinda a way of life.
“When you move to a big city for the first time, you might do it once or twice before you learn.
“First time I went to Paris I was wearing sandals which became all sweaty after a day, so I took them off.
“The black soles I saw that night convinced me to never do it again.”
Reddit user BitcoinBanker said: “Same in South Africa. I met kids in a Cape Town suburb who'd grown out of shoes they'd never worn!”
One user pointed out the Tube floor looked clean – although others disagreed.
Another person commented: "Man, Brexit hit you guys hard."
The sight seems to have been spotted by other Londoners - although there is no clue as to how many people have taken up the unusual trend.
Earlier this month Lauren Wetton said on Twitter: "Just seen a man on the tube, barefoot."
