This is the moment a car burst into flames on a residential street in Catford.

Bus driver Bill Turner saw the car catch fire in Boundfield Road this evening, and managed to snap a picture of the flames engulfing the vehicle.

He told the Standard: "I drive the local bus 124 around that area, when I pulled up to the bus stop [I saw] the guy who was driving the car which caught fire was a pizza delivery driver, I'm guessing he was delivering at the time.

"His engine caught alight at first and within five minutes the whole car was up in flames, I called the fire brigade when I got there and they took 15 to 20 minutes to arrive."

Mr Turner said the incident happened between 7pm and 7.15pm today.

Nobody is believed to have been injured in the blaze.
