Pensioner dies in south east London motorbike crash

A pensioner has died after being hit by a motorbike on a south east London road.

The 80-year-old pedestrian was involved in an accident on Eltham Road, Lee, at the junction with Ravens Way at 12.30pm on March 11.

He was taken by ambulance to a south London hospital but died later that afternoon at 3.55pm.

Police say the motorcyclist, a 21-year-old woman, stopped at the scene and suffered minor injuries in the collision.

She was not arrested but will be interviewed at a later date.
