Police launch witness appeal after woman dies following collision in Kingsbury

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a woman died following a collision in north London.

A Ford Zetec and white Ford van collided in Kingsbury Road, Kingsbury, at about 9.15am on December 30.

The 50-year-old female driver of the car was taken to a north London hospital but died of her injuries two days later.

The woman’s next of kin have been informed and formal identification and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

The driver of the van, a 53-year-old man, stopped at the scene.

He was not arrested, a Metropolitan Police Service spokesman said.

Anyone who witnessed the collision should call the Roads and Transport Policing Command on 020 8991 9555.
