Early morning commuters faced severe delays today after a signal failure at Tower Hill.
Transport for London said the Circle, District and the Hammersmith and City lines were all severely disrupted as a result.
Passengers travelling westbound on the Circle and District line were advised to continue their journey at street level.

A TfL spokesman said: "I apologise for the disruption caused to customers using the Circle, District and Hammersmith & City lines this morning. This was caused by a signal failure at Tower Hill.
“The problem has been fixed and we’re working hard to get a good service running on the affected lines as soon as possible."
TfL said a good service was operating across all other lines.
