A woman was told she was 'pretty' by a man who forced himself on her moments later in a late night sex attack.

The 29-year-old victim was approached as she walked along Christian Street in Shadwell, east London, just after midnight on December 15 last year.

She attempted to fight him off but he kissed her on the mouth and subjected her to a serious sexual assault, Scotland Yard said.

The suspect, who ran from the scene, is described as a white man, 5'6", slim, balding with stubble and a missing upper tooth.

Police would like to speak to a man seen on CCTV in connection with the assault.

Anyone with information should contact Holborn Sapphire on 020 7275 3489 or speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
