Gwyneth Paltrow has front-row seat — at home

Imelda Staunton and Tom Wilkinson will raise funds for the Tricycle Theatre when they attend a screening of their 1998 film Shakespeare in Love at the venue this weekend. Staunton played the nurse to Gwyneth Paltrow’s Viola, lover of Shakespeare. Will this be Gwyneth’s first night out since the conscious uncoupling? Unfortunately not.

Indeed, she may even be hosting a rival event. American magazine Radar reports that Paltrow has been inviting friends to her house for movie nights dedicated to herself, where they watch her favourite screen performances, including Se7en and Sliding Doors. “Gwyneth is really just trying to relive her glory days,” a pal says. “She still wants to be treated like a screen legend.” Pass the organic popcorn.
